Songs are always there for you.

Music is my true love. Here’s some things I’ve made.

  • Scoring / Composing

Music is the closest thing to magic on planet earth, and music set to film is that up to eleven.

I’m a member of the Recording Academy and the Society of Composers and Lyricists. I’ve worked on films, television, games, commercials etc. Most work I do from my studio in Los Angeles, CA.

Hit the contact page if you want to talk about composing / producing a score for your project.

  • The Matchstick Skeletons

The Matchstick Skeletons are a James Brown/Lemmy lovechild nobody asked for.

Based in Los Angeles, California and formed from the ashes of Head of the Herd, The Matchstick Skeletons came out of the grave swinging. With their debut single “Told Ya So” reaching a quarter million streams and going top 20 before their first tour, the match was lit.

The band was founded by singer Neu Mannas, and drummer Matty Carolei. Midway through a decade on the road they made a record together at the legendary Rockfield studio in Wales. On the piano from Bohemian Rhapsody, the drum set from OK Computer, and in the same courtyard the Oasis boys beat each other’s asses with cricket bats, they shared a look and knew exactly what they were going to do. Walk away from a major label deal, sign up Cole Friesen, Ryan Stead, and start the band they’ve always wanted to be in, The Matchstick Skeletons.

Inspired by funk records and the madness of old school rock n’ roll, they made a sound and a universe all their own. The video for “Told Ya So” highlights the B-Horror/Tarantino vibe of their world.

Renowned for their live performance, members have toured with Guns n’ Roses, Alice In Chains, Shania Twain, Deep Purple, Theory of a Deadman, Buckcherry, & most recently, The Glorious Sons in the US where they were when the world shut down.

When COVID hit, singer Neu Mannas went full Walter White into the California desert for months with his dog, a bunch of instruments, and the band’s RV to finish their debut LP “Change The Channel.”

The band made a record that tells a personal story through the lyrics and songwriting, touches on Neu’s experience scoring films, with songs built to be explosive live.

Once the songs were written they tapped Mark Rankin, (known for his work with Queens of the Stone Age, Adele, Spoon & Weezer), to mix the album.

Singer Neu says “Change the Channel is exactly the record we want people to hear first. This album pops the cork and smashes the bottle."

  • Voldo Blanka

From seedy clubs to arena tours, independent releases turning into a number 1 hit, legendary studios around the word to the dark recluse of a private studio buried under walls of instruments: these are the faces of Voldo Blanka, and the journey that has led to a new and enthralling piece of musical work.

The emergence of this new body of work is dark, but beautiful; melodic yet disturbing. This selection of songs are grounded in electronica, but push the boundaries of the genre: ethereal at times, and auditory violence at others. Comparable perhaps to elements of early Daft Punk, Bjork and The Knife; the resulting fusion is unique to Voldo Blanka.

Voldo Blanka cut his teeth performing as a vocalist and notable multi-instrumentalist with prowess on over a dozen instruments. While on tour in the coldest winter on record, a unique incident forced his hand to begin a long period of seclusion. It was in this window that Voldo Blanka’s true emergence occurred. While recovering, he composed at a prolific rate utilizing the instruments within reach and using nothing other than his mind to fill in what he couldn’t grasp. As his vision appeared, Blanka leaned on his years of production experience to capture and design the sounds that came to him in the near fever dreams of his coalescence.

The accompanying music video for the song “Go Your Way” was filmed in Los Angeles, California by acclaimed director Nathan Kim, and stars Gracie Stewart whose extensive dance career has taken her around the world on the biggest tours in pop music. And the video for ‘i am not me’ comes from shooting in india, los angeles, and the Mojave Desert.
